Punt & Mes is a 16.04 m ketch built in 1949 by the Gentili Mattei shipyard in Riccione based on a design by the famous American designer Samuel Sturgis Crocker.
The vessel, with its characteristic water lines, represents an example of the classic sailing style of the time and has sailed in the Atlantic and Mediterranean.
Initially named Calamaro by Count Giulio Rizzardi, the first client; the boat has had, among other owners, Carpano & C. (hence the name Punt e Mes) and the well-known historian and diplomat of Istrian origin Diego De Castro.
In 2010 and 2011, an important restoration work carried out on behalf of the current owners at the Alto Adriatico shipyard in Monfalcone, returned the boat to its former splendor, integrating modern technologies while respecting the original materials and designs.
